The Danish Railway Museum, Odense, 22-23 october 2005

For the fourth time we joined the annual Model Railway Meeting at The Danish Railway Museum. Our stand was between the class P and Class O steam engines and the historic surroundings was creating a good atmosphere.

Friday were used to set up the layout. Many parts has to be unpacked, put together, aligned in level and tested to be ready for 2 days of intensive operating.

This year we have made at PowerPoint presentation that describe the building of the layout.

The Jappe fiddle yard was this year not the original from the Jappe Railway. Instead a larger fiddle yard from the Tovli Railway came to be used.

For the first time we operated Jappe Bruk in three different epoch. The 1950s, 1960s and 1980s. By replacing engines, carriage, road vehicles, a building and the time table the layout is changing in time. On the photo a class De14 arrives in Jappe Bruk on a summer day in the 1980s.

Read more about the Jappe Railway at the Railways internet site.
